Suspended TMC leader held after raping minor for 3 days in Darjeeling – kolkata

A former Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader, who was suspended from the social gathering years in the past for breaching self-discipline, has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor lady for three days in his poultry farm in the Kharibari space of West Bengal’s Darjeeling district.

The alleged crime came about about two weeks in the past however the sufferer’s mom lodged a criticism at Kharibari police station on Sunday evening.

Ujjwal Sarkar, the accused, was arrested in the early hours of Monday. It is alleged that he threatened the sufferer with dire penalties if she opened her mouth. The household belongs to a tribal group.

The lady, whose father is a TMC employee, has been despatched to hospital for medical examination, mentioned a police officer who didn’t wish to be named as he’s not licensed to temporary the media.

TMC leaders disassociated themselves from Sarkar, saying he was suspended seven years in the past for his actions.

The sufferer’s household has alleged that Sarkar took the lady to his farm when her dad and mom had gone someplace. He locked her up for three days and tortured her.

Hiranmoy Roy, TMC Kharibari group block committee president, mentioned, “Sarkar was suspended from the party long ago. He was not an active worker. Law should take its own course.”

Before his suspension, Sarkar was president of the TMC’s Kharibari block youth wing.
